THE SACRED BONES MOTORCYCLE CLUB WAS FOUNDED
BY HARRY "GRAMPS" KELLER AND ESTABLISHED IN PENNSYLVANIA
1947.
Between 1947 and 1954 the club had made
a small mark in Pennsylvania and drew little attention.
After WWII, Gramp's had a loved for motorcycles and riding
around the county side. He didn't really take to traditional
clubs which have a lot of politics built in. With due respect
to traditional motorcycle clubs, Sacred Bones MC was found
out of our natural individual inability to conform to traditional
riding clubs. Gramp's just wanted to create a club which
anyone could join, no politics, leaders, or rules; just
show up and ride. He just was one who wanted to enjoy life,
ride free, and yet wanted to create a motorcycle club unlike
any other. A club that required nothing from its membership,
except a desire to ride motorcycles, and have fun. Thus,
he named his group "Sacred Bone Society".
There wasn't a lot of advertisement back
then, and what was the internet then; much less this type
of club really didn't get a lot of recognition. As the club
didn't grow very big, it was just him and a few of his friends.
After about 1954, Gramp's wasn't able to ride much, and
the club slow slipped away, becoming inactive. After Gramps
passed on, his son took over the club rights. but did nothing
with it. Members previous, passed on.
In 1978, I inherited the club; I redesigned
the patch, but shortly after I had joined the military,
A few of my friends "military" would ride together,
again forming Scared Bones. Due to Miliatry commitments,
stationed overseas, and assignment reloactions, thus the
club became international. During my 20 years of service,
I didn't keep very good record in those times, so there
are members out there I don't have information on. In 1998,
I retired from the military, The Sacred Bones Society MC
is now established in California. Once again, founded out
of our natural individual inability to conform to traditional
riding clubs.
We are a brotherhood of lone freedom riders
on two wheels, freedom of choice, freedom not to lead or
follow. We are not a "want to be" "traditional
M/C"; we are no where close to a traditional M/C. We
are not affiliated, supported, chartered or sanctioned by
other clubs. Because of our non-organizational, non-political,
non-traditional ways we ride alone, free of the typical
POLITICS that other clubs have built in. Our club has no
clubhouse, no chapters, no president, no officers, no monthly/annual
dues, no meetings, no initiations and no obligations when
you ride or who to ride with!

Wheels of Hope 2007 Motorcycle Rally
WHAT: MIDWEST WHEELS OF HOPE 2007 is a
motorcycle Run & Rally starting at two locations and
ending in Hell, Michigan for a Rally to raise money for
homeless and runaway youth.
WHEN: Sunday June 10th 2007. Registration
at two locations 10:00 am thru 12:00 Noon. Or you can go
straight to Hell for the Rally at the Hell Creek Ranch in
Hell, Michigan
COST: TWO EVENTS - ONE PRICE $20 per person.
This includes both events and a free lunch.
RUN LOCATION # 1: DOWNTOWN PLYMOUTH: At
Kellogg Park with registration from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon.
Live band, The Incurables, and Crazy Kerry Mclean will demo
his monowheel in the street. The run will depart at 12:00
Noon for a scenic ride to The Hell Creek Ranch in Hell,
MI for a blowout concert and motorcycle Rally like no other!
RUN LOCATION # 2: TOWN & COUNTRY SPORTS
CENTER: In Cement City Michigan, near Jackson. Registration
is from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon. Live band, The Detroit Groove
Kings, and Harley-Davidson Motor Co. Demo Fleet will be
on hand. The run will depart at 12:00 Noon for a scenic
ride to The Hell Creek Ranch in Hell, MI for a blowout concert
and motorcycle Rally like no other!
THE RALLY IN HELL: For those who can not
make it to the run, please come to the Rally. The cost will
be the same as the run and just like the run the proceeds
from the gate go to helping the kids. The party starts at
1:00 pm at the Hell Creek Ranch, located at 10866 Cedar
Lake Road Hell, MI. For those who want to help support a
great charity but don’t ride, please feel free to
come to the party. This is the 2007 “can’t miss”
event.
WHY: Bikers truly have a soft heart for
kids in need and go out of their way to help out. Bikers
also like to have a good time and when the event is done
the right way, we can. Support a great cause and have fun
doing it!
